Weaving Bridges Project 2015
Everyone is invited to take part in the project by joining the free weekly weaving workshops in Brookvale, Curl Curl or Manly. This year's theme is birds.
Making the bird shapes at the Kuring-gai Community Shed
I have spent a little bit of time lately trying to understand the local bird life lately and taken every opportunity to observe and snap pelicans, egrets, cormorants, seagulls, penguins, swamp hens, kookaburras and any other birds that happen to wander into my fields of view at our gorgeous waterways. Since I only usually have a small snappy camera or phone camera, I have supplemented those snaps with really fast sketches whenever I had the appropriate tools with me.
It has been brilliant research, the sort I love - natural, creative, inexpensive and not to mention the ability to soak up some sun in the process.
